Goodbye...and we're off again. (30th Jan)

We got up early to say goodbye to Nan, Steve, Lauren, Ryan, Cam and Ethan. We had a great stay at Hamilton, and were sad to say 'see you soon'. (No 'goodbye's!!!) Then it was a taxi into town to pick up the hire car that is to take us to Pahia in 'Northland' on the North Island of NZ for 3 days. We got the car at 10 am and set off northwards, driving through Auckland.

We had a good journey, and had a couple of loo stops on the way, but nothing too remarkable! We arrived at the Sea Spray Suites in Pahia in the Bay of Islands at about 4 pm. We acquainted ourselves with the local area which was very pretty.

We had an excellent meal in the evening at 'Alongside', the Pierhead deck of the restaurant '35 Deg South' in the port at Pahia.

As the day ended it got a bit chilly....but we didn't know what was to come!!!
