After an early start, and a take-away breakfast of a coffee and bacon and egg roll, Saturday was spent sight-seeing and shopping in Melbourne. Someone managed to find a 'Sea Folley' bikini in the sale, plus a 'round the world' charm for her new 'Pandora' bracelet. We have avoided purchases in the Ugg stores for now!!!

The architecture in Melbourne is quite a unique mix of old and traditional, and very modern, all set against stunning azure skies. We loved it! We took in the old (and free) tram which circles the City center, the docks (where we had a very light 'tapas' lunch).

We saw landmark buildings, gardens, Etihad Stadium and the biggest Police Station I have ever seen in our shopping spree / walk.

This Police Stn was 8 stories tall and massive. I swear Brighton Police Stn would fit in the open canopy outside the front door!!!

Even the shopping malls had other buildings inside them!!

Then it was back to the hotel for a swim and a rest, before we went out again in the evening.

We went to a couple of trendy roof-top bars to watch the sun set on the city....

.....and we had dinner in China Town

Early up tomorrow as we are off on our travels again!!!!!
