Early, we set off on a trip to the Coromandel peninsula, (an area known for mountains, great beaches, countryside and quait, quiet towns and villages).
The journey took a few hours but this included a break for lunch, and further breaks as we neared our destination.
Eventually we arrived at our holiday home, which is called a 'bach' (batch). It was just outside Coromandel town, on a sub-peninsula, and with a great view overlooking Coromandel bay.
After un-packing, and a rest, we took an inquisitive walk from the rear yard down to the bay
Later Steve cooked a barby, and we had a first glimpse of the stingrays which patrol the bay.
